Chinese black lacquer tripod side table with incised polychrome lotus decoration

Shaped trefoil side table in black lacquer with finely incised and polychrome-painted decoration: scrolling lotus and peony vines in green, red, cream and yellow, a Greek-key band around the shaped edge, and bamboo sprigs on the three cabriole legs. An eye-catching Chinese export piece in the incised-lacquer (qiangjin style) tradition, structurally sound with only minor edge wear to the lacquer. Mid-to-late 20th century.
