A pair of white porcelain vases pierced into open latticework, with pink peonies 牡丹 applied in relief, gilt trim and small gilt elephant-head handles, standing on dark glazed tripod bases. Reticulated work like this is all about the light passing through it, so they earn their keep near a lamp or a window. Thirty centimetres to the top of the stand. One honest note: a single vase has a faint line running through the lattice near the shoulder, easiest to see backlit and shown in the photos; the other is clean.
