Chinese provincial blue and white porcelain chrysanthemum pattern plate painted with the starburst or sunflower pattern amid calligraphic scrolls, unglazed ring visible - a genuinely antique late Qing dynasty piece, 19th century. Dishes of this type have been found in the Diana Cargo and the Desaru Cargo, thus dating the dish to the early 19th century (circa 1817-1830). With approx. 23 cm. Condition: a hairline crack runs in from the rim and there is scattered kiln grit/spotting, priced accordingly. An honest piece of everyday Qing export/domestic ware.
