Chinese plique-à-jour (translucent, stained-glass effect) vitreous enamel cloisonné lidded jar in blush pink with peony sprays and green foliage, gilt-metal mounts and pointed finial, on a turned wood base. Approx. 18 x 10 cm. Glows nicely when backlit; no cracks or losses visible in the photo. Plique-à-jour is a more specialised technique than standard cloisonné and has a steady collector following.
